What I meant is, as long as I have an favor action to play and one courtier to bow, I can always pay for it. And it is way better since I only bow the courtier to pay for the favor action and not to bow it earlier to have the favor in the first place. I can go to battle, bow the courtier there, and ...

I like it for military dueling since you have options to reduce other peeps force before or during battle and it is always good to have a another kill action with 3 focus value that isn't a duel.

So the drawback is you play your 4 gold courtiers at 5 gold... and you get unlimited favor actions per turn... I wonder when the will fix our crappy errata stronghold and give us a decent honor sensei...

I always prefer an item with some strengh that a blank force bonus IMO. But you are right, there are not big attachments with good battle actions and good focus value. What I am realizing is that you might need to combine items + followers and not only items in this edition to make a military duelin...
