Re: [SHoD] Shabura (Naga Personality)
I'm not sure that this is actually a personality from SHoD itself, rather than just an alt-art promo for participation at the Challenge Booth. I say this because it has the Promo rarity symbol, no indication it is affiliated with SHoD on its copyright line, and is a direct reprint of the original Sh...

Re: [ALitS] Kuroko Sensei (Sensei)
The GP hit really, really hurts this deck. Spider honor is a much more swarm-like build than "normal" honor decks. Yes, their guys are cheap, but they aren't like Crane honor people, where they deliver 3-4 Honor on purchase and then directly advance the wincon (generally speaking). Losing ...

Re: [ALitS] Spider Elite Sohei (Follower)
I really like Enslaved Djinn, which is 4G for 2F and tutors up the next copy of itself. This is 9G for 4F, Reserve, and Fear 3 ... and tutors up the next copy of itself. Okay, yes, sure, you can pay just 8G if you don't want to tutor, but you'll realistically only be doing that in an emergency or wh...

Re: [ALitS] Opportune Weapon (Item)
4G for 2F isn't going to win any awards, but the repeatable kill action is rather nice. Courage continues to seem dubious as a mechanic. As an aside, what is wrong with the Rokugani military artisans, when a geisha's broken table-leg is more directly lethal than most of the actual samurai weapons in...

Not shabby. +2/+1 for 3 is credible, the engage-attachment doesn't require opposition, and the ability is ... well, not blank, at least.

Re: [ALitS] Momiji's Chambers (Holding)
Competition for those 1/1 slots is steep, and there's simply no way this is displacing Bookkeepers and/or YHS. And, of course, no one is going to be running 1/1s in Strict or other environments without JPI. I do like that this card call-backs the abilities on Scorpion Clan Coup 1's Hatsuko, the firs...

I like her more than a lot of you do, even at the 15G price point for her enhanced form, but I really wish she ended up 5F after Invest -- whether that be 3 tokens or simply a base 3F.

I also always try to see if this sort of thing has Legacy/BigDeck applications. Here, not so much. There are two extant Geisha personalities (Hatsuko and Shosuro Tezuko), neither of which are impressive, and the weird gimmicky follower Kolat Geisha. Also, technically, Geisha Assassin briefly creates...

Re: [ALitS] Coastal Lane (Holding)
Far and away my favorite of the Holdings previewed on what was apparently Holding Day. Although that's as much a condemnation of the rest as an advertisement for this one... This card is not for every deck. If you just go "ooh, 4/5 is shiny!" and drop this in everything, you are going to h...
