So the shrine had a sort of sentient malevolence that was trying to prepare an evil hoard under cover of invisibility? Reminds me of Dol Guldur and Gandalf banishing the spell of invisibility the hid the orcs massing there. :O

I like how Shourai braved the elements to dig up food. That sense of needing something to eat was a welcome touch of realism.
