Tokens or stones
For those of you who have played card games using the small cardboard tokens (like the fate tokens will be for the LCG), is it easier to manage those as cardboard tokens, or easier to manage those as pente stones or similar? I can see the benefits of both and lean towards the stones, but I haven't played much. I don't know if it is worth making some fate pente stones. (As amusing as that would be.)

While I havn't used stones in this game I would think I'd still prefer cardboard. You can stack cardboard cutouts pretty easy which makes them easier to manage when you are moving things around.

Depends on what you like. I prefer plastic or metal, but I use the cardboard stuff because I'm too cheap to pay to replace it.

Re: Tokens or stones
Use what you like, but make sure you have enough distinct tokens so there isn't confusing. Honor is different than Fate is different than Honored/Dishonored

Re: Tokens or stones
In playing with ideas for this, I had a good one worth trying.
Magnetic plastic Bingo chips. They are flat and stackable. Plastic, so they're durable. Transparent, so you can have a design on the backside that will show through and make them bi-directional. Lots of colors. And throw a magnet in your box and they'll all stay in one place or you can pick them up quickly.
May try that out someday.
