So the Crab for a while now have held to the ideal that the clan itself is the Wall. This is important, because the Wall keeps falling.

The Empire is going to fall. Much of the artifacts of our culture will be lost. But those artifacts are not our culture.

We are.

We need to stay in the Empire and fight to protect our people. Our art is less important than our artisans. Our stories are less important than our storytellers. Without the people, our culture is nothing.

So we should protect the culture of Rokugan, by fighting for our own survival. And we do have one art suited for this. Kakita created iaijutsu as an art, but it also works pretty well at killing threats to our clan. We should do that. Our place on the front lines should be our art, should show that our art is just as powerful as the tactics of the other clans.
