Crane in FFG Game?

I've seen it discussed elsewhere so I guess it's no secret that Daidoji Yojimbos was going to be a Crane theme in Onyx, but she was not the sensei for it (It wasn't a military theme though, so I guess it doesn't really answer your question).

Daidoji Yojimbos would have been cool!

They really were. We were about 3 sets past Onyx base, and the Yojimbo deck was really fun. It's a shame it will never see play.

There was no set called Reign of Jigoku.

Onyx Base
Onyx LTP Set
Onyx Expansion 1
Onyx Expansion 2
Onyx Expansion 3

were all in various forms of completion, or were done.
Onyx Expansion 1 was sometimes called ROJ, but that did not stand for Reign of Jigoku. Shorthand for Expansion 2 was RTR and expansion 3 was ROU.

We have been told that they will never officially see the light of day.

It was FFG's call, not ours, and that's the decision they went with. They've been using art from some of those sets in their promotions, ect, however, so I guess you at least get to see that.

But, no, unless someone leaks them out, those sets will remain a 'could have been'.

They said no, even to text-only when we thought their objections were to releasing the art assets that they acquired. Apparently not.
