I thought the system should work in reverse but then someone else put it best.

Makes much more sense after that.

But if you're the better duelist, why are you bidding so much honor?

Bidding 5 honor is like playing Poisoned Weapons.

So what we know and what we Don't know.

What we know
•similar bord set up
• Conflict: 2 per turn military and political
• Fate system
• Named and unnamed characters with Fate, Mil/political strength and glory (that adds/subtracts honor from conflicts)
• Stongholds: have abilities. Determine starting Honor and fate. Has an influence (similar to netrunner)
•Honor betting to draw cards.
• Dueling uses either mil or pol combined with Honor betting system.
• 40- 45 deck sizes
• Multi win conditions.

What we Don't know
• Imperial favor
• Provinces - how they function and does the stronghold increase ALL Provence strength or just the one below the stronghold.
•How the province is destroyed while allowing it to still function in some fashion.
•Cards that have not been talked about.

No reason you can't win honor from the duel as part of the card effect (though it'd be mechanically odd).
