Considering that there are 3 cost event cards (Mono no Aware pictured above) and a fair amount of 2s, Yoshi will be good.
Unfortunately he's only raw stats unless we can guarantee gaining the favor.

It's not so hard to guarantee oneself a Favour if you are willing to sacrifice one (maybe sometimes two) challenges to keep your nice glory crane characters standing, the only clan that can crush those attempts out of hand is Phoenix with their SH and monstrosity of Serene Warrior (idk how much PH players play him though, as it's doubtlessly risky character). Anyway it's not so hard to stick to IF.
