I was happy to see a Halloween fiction. An amazing piece too
Tragic to have that happen to the Susumu. I was a fan of them, but with the story where it was, it certainly made sense.

Indeed. I was not fond of the Susumu as they were a rival court power, but they had their hearts in the right place, in a way. Their dream of an Empire that would accept them was burned by their own - another demonstration of the evil of Kanpeki.
