Instead of giving honor for this duel's bid, a player may choose and discard the required number of cards from hand. Bow the duel's loser."

I am a HUGE fan of dueling. And this card makes me drool.

It's a way to win a mil conflict while emptying the opponents hand.

I like it aswell but so far we've seen 2 cards that create duels but nothing that boosts our dueling. (except being honored)
In addition mil is our weakest stat and as far as we know neither Duelist nor Kensihinze gives a boost. If a Crab or Lion splashes Crane this is a card they might* run.

*Depending on their other acces to bow.

I'm very much in favor of dueling being widely playable. It really ought to be, given the setting, it's just that the CCG mechanics prevented it from coming through in old L5R.

It took a lot of time but it might be time for Duelist Training to shine or at least very soon. Before, DT was mostly used by others clans with high mil but now that we get more duelling support and Toshimoko, it's starting to be an interesting card that we will be glad to have in clan. I expect it to be way more played after our clan pack.

It still feels like a 1x card Post CotE for us, but our clan pack likely changes. It is adding to our huge amount of bow effects we are accumulating, and thats never bad.
