Peace has returned to Rokugan for now. The Destroyer is defeated, but at a price. Now a second festering pit exists, in the heart of the Empire, and the Spider Clan has risen to power under the Empress' protection. Still, with the war over, the Clans race to rebuild and explore and exploit a new continent. Lands are conquered, cities built, and the Empire as we know it changes. In this new world of opportunities the Crane Clan is still struggling to find their place. From Toshi Ranbo to the Second City, from the Shadowlands in the south to the far north, new alliances form and old alliances strain and break. One clan seeks to sow calm and order amidst the chaos. A clan of diplomats, merchants and warrior poets, more distant from the courts of power than ever before as the Empire is reshaped, working to restore their guidance to society. More than ever before, the traditions of Rokugan's past are needed to build its future and the Emperor's Left Hand must, and will, rise to the challenge. We are the Crane Clan.
