They must realize that IF you play hamstrung, all its going to be is a four focus card.  I doubt very seriously you would lower the focus value to NOT gain honor from the action.

Any good player would lower the hamstrung by 1 if they can and still win the duel. Thriving Light will kill that 1 gain, then you'll gain 2 off the duel.

I actually ranted to a lion player how banish all doubt is card draw broken.

He told me though that a big drawback was it wasn't a battle action. Meaning if he draws this card via central, he'd most likely wish it to be something proactive.

Then we concurred it was more of a VPI support card. Though he ponders how to pinch in more tacticians being paragons as the predominant personality trait to make it more consistent. :p

Please don't take offense, but that is ridiculous.  Yeah there is a chance that you won't draw something that is immediately useful if you put limited actions in Central Castle, and that is a drawback, but in Lion this card basically cycles 4 cards and is almost no risk.

IMO, if your friend hasn't tried it already, he should put three in his deck and see how often it really clogs things up versus how many times he can successfully play it.  Cycling is second only to card draw in terms of powerlevel, there is literally nothing better than these in a CCG.  Of course there is almost always a drawback as well (ie being dead in battle), but I doubt that Lion has a 40 card deck where there isn't space for this.

I will now do this :D.  I didn't think about them being two separate honor gains.  For some reason the were the same.  Mind blank for a second there.
