Only one fate battle duel that's Crane-worthy [the force duel and the monk duel don't count].  Only one Crane peep that creates a duel in battle.

This won't help us until we get more battle duels that we can actually run.

We can run Assault without Finesse. And Kado is a friggin beast with it.

Outside of that, Steel on Steel, and Enough Talk both pull their weight in my deck. This card would be run in the deck with minor tweaks if I had it.

The comment was made on Facebook that Crab United is Superior to Crane United, which was followed by, "Crab United can be run out of Crane".  Really???  I would think someone would've done it by now if so...

Anyone got a link to a Crab or Crane United Dueling deck?

If you are running a dueling deck, Assaults Without Finesse is absolutely playable.  I'm not saying it is the best deck in the world, but it seems to give you enough duels to run cards for Focus Effects, which opens up all sorts of shenanigans.

I've played one. The crab one is better.


As far as the mention of Kado, he has one really big problem. Other than duel initiaters, cards like this one, and the other "Target a duelist" cards, also have the words "Equal or lower chi" on. He's useless with them, and is the reason he's not worth it.

Of course the Candy Castle completely changes how this card looks for Crane now.

Focus Effects resolve before the duel is resolved, right?  So you could duel someone with equal Chi with a weapon, focus this, they focus, you strike, you both focused 4's, but you kill the +1C weapon and win?

B: Focus Pool
C: Focusing round
D: Reveal cards
E: Focus Effects resolve
F: Duel resolution begins
G: Total scores
H: Determine outcome

You may feel differently after you sacrifice Kado to Ring of Fire Daigotsu.
