"Kagami is so great! Military decks don't use send home!"

Seriously though, this guy is fairly "meh". Great force, but kinda pricey with an ability that is solid but nothing to get excited about. Probably see 2-3 of them in Unicorn Commander but that's about it.

The reaction is nearly worth the cost when it appears far to easy to destroy attachments.

Yeah, but with so many kill actions its not hard to kill the personality out from under him. Plus, there is enough item destruction that its not too hard to throw 2 destruction's at him.

Did you actually read the reaction?

It says " a card in this unit " which will stop non-unit pk.

Will see some play in Uni decks, I think Mantis DGC will also use it to protect big units, they can afford it, but still Nerve Strike or Crane open bow techs ruin the day for big commanders

Yes I read the reaction.

Reaction: After an action targets a card in this unit: Negates this card's destruction from the action's effects.

The reaction does trigger if any card in the unit is targeted, but only negates its own destruction. Unless im missing some kind of rule about targeting or something (which is possible) if I kill the personality this follower is attached to, the the follower is going to die. If im wrong, please point it out, im not seeing it on my own.

I vote with Onimaru.  I was already going to ask the question, "Can someone think of an action or scenario in which a card other than this one is targeted, and somehow this card is saved from destruction?"

I can think of things that would target and destroy IT specifically.  And things that kill the Personality, which will destroy this despite it's reaction.  Maybe there's something that says "destroy all attachments" and this blocks those.

Oh dear humble pie for me I read the card three times and read it wrong each time :s

The reaction could be written in less complicated way...so if what Onimaru wrote is true the unit still dies of duels, restoring order, relentless conviction, stain cleansed, ruthless...etc. and costs 10g? Where is the point then?

I found one example (that every Phoenix CoT will run) of the scenario I described:

http://l5rsearch.com/db/search.cgi?title=breath%20of%20the%20dragon

Battle: Bow and destroy this Shugenja: Destroy a target enemy Personality without attachments. You may then target an enemy Personality and destroy all his attachments.

Maybe you can search L5RSearch.com and find other examples, Frotek.

Rout?

Sends home the guy and kills an attachement, but it is immune to that.

Well I know that there is a plenty of attachment hate here and there, yet I think that commander decks (I do not see any other decks who would wish to play such expensive card) need more units' than just attachments' protection.
