For a 7 gold unique, this is underwhelming for the CE environment. Currently, only Ashigaru Recruits and Plague of Flesh are Ashigaru followers, though they do make additional Ashigaru followers.

A small upside: it doesn't specify Farm holdings.

I run Farmlands for range and attachment protection, so that's the extent of my dealings with Ashigaru in my Crane deck.

Don't think this card is all that great.

It seems easy to destroy for an ability that doesn't seem to be inline with it's gold cost.

L5R Search for Ashigaru in title or text only turned up an Oni. Odd.

Yeah, they have a typo on Plague of Flesh and Ashigaru Recruits is in BtD.

yeah plauge of flesh on L5R search is spelled "ashiragu".

i believe it's right on the card thou.

I marked this a great because i'm excited to see ashigaru personalities and followers that will make this follower better and make people think about using Private farm and/or fertile plains cause using those cards in combination of ashigaru elite is really cheap unopposed force pump.
