I really liked the Crane in my last painting and decided to give him his own piece, but to change the context so that he's not cowering, rather conjuring up some fierce winds.  Mantis may have a sweet ass navy, but it's an awful lot slower when the winds are messing with them, I'd wager. Kinda fitting for the story ;)

Thoughts?



Done on an iPad. Procreate app. 2-3 hours.

Lovely piece, but the top right corner cloud is slightly too square, I'd say. Maybe you would want to give some depth by creating movement in the lower foreground, just in front of the shug. Some flying dead leaves, for instance, or just dust.
