I was really looking forward to Ilum since the idea of a whole PVP world was very enticing to me. Hopefully they make it more fun for the players in future patches. I want to enjoy that content and have been waiting to do any PVP until I was 50 (except running across the lone Jedi player, I have to say hello or it would be rude, yanno?)

PVP as a fresh 50 will be a little tougher, due to your starting lack of the expertise stat.
I recommend doing some warzones and farming Warzone/Mercenary Commendations. Buy a lvl 50 pvp bag(they're unique) and save 1000 of each commendation for a total of 6 bags available as soon as you hit 50. You can then get another 8 bags from your 2 weekly/daily pvp quests.
Just cross your fingers and hope for some gear

So I shouldn't have been so lazy about fraps this week. Our raid lockout for the week looks like this:

We're still trying Karagga on Nightmare, will drop to hard end of tomorrow evening if we need to. Would be nice, but Nightmare is so ridiculous

As you can see not only do they still play, but they're now able to complete their dungeon lists.

The only thing 1.1 "broke" was Ilum. Maybe if you're an open world pvp player it's the end of the world, but for those of us who prefer pve content, 1.1 was a good thing.

Also you not liking a patch doesn't equate to everyone else quitting as well oh glorious leader

Lawlz, I just got 50 last night! I'll be playing this game for at least 6 more months.

I am very much enjoying it. I haven't even tried out the 16 players group raids yet.

Flashpoints are 5 man dungeons. Those are Operations (raids

). Most of them were done on Nightmare, not Hard

Btw what server were you guys on? I might come make an alt.

Doesn't matter, since Bioware in their infinite wisdom schedule downtimes at the same time. Which means last downtime that existed was from like 4pm - 7pm GMT (that means Europeans had it til as late as 8 or 9).

1.1 broke every aspect of endgame pvp, not just Ilum

50s only fighting 50s would be creating endgame pvp, not breaking it. Are you upset that your endgame doesn't involve facerolling level 20s anymore? :p
