I was aware it would be a straight cut going in, but when I preregistered and planned the trip I was unaware of just how brutal the environment is towards Crane.
You weren't aware??

I guess you missed the first weekend of kotei season when the top Cranes across the koteis all went 4-3. :P

Including me, right David? :p

Jk Jk, I wasnt TC, but I did finish 4-3! =D

Both Cranes were knocked out by Kevin, who was also top of Swiss (he lost two games all day, one to Ashman's ninja and one to Chris Stevenson playing Dragon Kensai who bought a T2 guy, attached a weapon in Kevin's T3 as an Open, and went Ret/Ret/BNW to take out both Kevin's guys in his provinces.  Brutal game!)

Can you use 2 Retributions on the same guy?  How did this play work?

Of course you can.  Ret takes the first one, then he Rets again (even though he has no unbowed people to assign).  Brave New World flings in his lone guy.

Just because you have no one unbowed to assign doesn't mean you can't play Retribution.  It just means you need to find a way to shotgun someone into a battlefield to get any use out of it.

Oh yeah, different attack phases.  When the first ret is done, you activate the second ret b/c it's still the end of the attack phase that you were a defender in, correct?

That's the ticket.  Pretty card-intensive to get it to work with just one guy, but it's not unheard of in the least.  Previous arcs dealt with Ret/Tireless as the one-man wrecking ball.  Now it's Ret/BNW.
