A very very solid Scout for the Mantis. Too bad he is a bit expensive to play in our own decks.

If I was running a scout deck geared more towards midgame military than rush I'd sure as hell be running him.

Out of the mantis scout box, you'd have to be mad not to use this guy. Even crab should be tempted by this guy.

Am I missing something? I know haven't played quite as much in EE as other people, but 9g feels a touch expensive for 4F and 2 ranged 4s, even with Naval.

4f/8-9g with a battle action and some sort of bonus (trait or bonus keyword usually) is fairly standard for the heavy-hitter scouts. This guy gets two kill attempts - or one big shot if you're using Koshin Keep - and is naval. Thats a very potent combination.

Eh. He's not that spectacular. 9g is a lot of gold out of Koshin. He shouldn't see play out of anything else. If you want naval for your scout deck, run the 5g naval mantis scout. This guy is too expensive.

don't forget; the rules for overlay have changed. Therefore, he won't get 2 RA3 and 2 RA4s if you did overlay him.

nah i was thinking of reducing his gold cost to 0 by overlaying. Ack.... What am i thinking?! This is mantis.

I really wish that we had the CE overlay rules. Sigh.

This is a rather good XP card. I'd definitely run him if I were running Mantis scouts.
