All I can think is the Ghostbusters 1 bad-guy (not the stay-puft marshmallow man.... though that would be an impressive Oni)

Modern japan believes that Samurai often suffixed their sentences with "De Gozaru".

Which, if I remember correctly, is just a very formal version of "de aru", which, in turn, as the shorthand of 'de arimasu" has been contracted to "desu".

So they ended their sentences with "is" to make simple statements of fact, using stilted and deliberately old-fashioned vocabulary....this is the oni of book obsessed weaboo, which is why it can kill one guy or make two facepalm so hard they bow  ;D

I really enjoy the size of this monster.  15 gold should kill and take provinces.
