Yeah this is interesting. I wouldn't call myself an AEG fanboy, but I'm interested in all three nights worth of activities. I'll be there wednesday. I'm least interested in the RPG just because it will probably be the least useful to me overall. Although, I must admit "featuring some premium L5R items, a copy of the adventure, and a certificate to get a copy of the L5R 10K card if you do not attend the L5R 10K Card event Saturday night" sounds good. What is that? It doesn't show up anywhere else.

Depends on how much you like AEG's other games. If it is like last year, it is set up so everyone can play the other board games AEG makes. Thunderstone, Nightfall, Ninja: Legend of the Scorpion clan, ect. So, if you like board games, especially AEG games, then it is pretty fun. If you just like L5R, then it wont be the end of the world if you miss it

Personally, I came to the CCG from the RPG, so the Second City thing is more important to me than just about anything else. I might even drop late from the grinder just to be there for it (though of course if I play terribly, it won't matter). If the clan dinner is this night, then I'll just be joining drinkers at a pub meet, or not at all.

Here is what AEG has listed for the RPG events. Again, posted here to better help people make plans.

It should also be noted that the (intended) schedule is for the RPG events to start at 7PM, so either the grinder should be over, or you have already washed out anyway. So, the RPG conflicts with the a Thursday Dinner plan. Also, rumor has it that the Scorpion are planning for friday...

Statistically, I believe, most people will be In or Out of the running by that time.

Wow, congrats! We should definitely pool mental resources for building a deck then. I assume your volunteering won't conflict with tournament play, will it?

P.S. I thought you said it would "take a miracle" for you to get this, volunteer work isn't exactly a miracle.

Comic-con and PAX are so popular that they take on very few new volunteers, I believe, and imagine GC to be the same.

It's a miracle in my book

But yes, definately pool mental resources! I "should" be able to play on first grinder and on Sat/Sun. Schedule isn't out yet though, so can't say for sure...

EDIT: I voted for to avoid Big Game Night, because I want to do the rpg thing.

You are right. I skipped Friday night for some reason... Let me hit up Jeremy and see if I can get that fixed...

I changed it reflect Thursday, Friday and Saturday night. I also reset the vote.
