I don't know if this is the right place, but i just wanted to throw this up as an idea. Before I get any further, however, I want to make very clear I like David Winner a lot. I've met him several times and I think he would be an awesome clan champion since he has a real history with the clan, a strong ccg record, and also he has a lot of face time across the nation given his job. So my proposition has nothing to do with him as an individual. I luv you winner.

I just want to throw this out there, and please by all means disregard it as a whole if you guys don't like it. Overall the idea is fantastic. I think making the daimyo positions be chosen by a gathering of power through the points system. It is awesome, but I think the clan champ should have an additional mechanism put into place. Personally, I would like a democratic voting system that pulls candidates directly from the head of the family positions. This way, maybe someone who loves the ccg but is annoyed/not pleased with the storyline (like I am right now) or even could care less with the storyline, wouldn't be in what is essentially a fluff position. I mean the title doesn't give the player any real power in the clan, but for people who want to have someone to look up to within the clan, the clan champ can play that role.

While it may seem like a popularity contest, the contestants have to have a proven record of "caring" about the clan before hand, ergo the honor tally system. Again this might be too complex, or even unpopular. I'm ok with that. I don't want to step on anyone's toes. Just throwing out an idea.

I still would like to see Yoshi become champ because from my perspective he is the father of the crane/mantis war. That is literally the most interesting story development to me.

I have this odd feeling some of those positions might end up being:

Crane Clan Champion: Jaded Angry (drunken) Internet persona Doji Yoshi
Asahina Family Daimyo: Corrupted Oni summoning, ronin playing Medalliah
Daidoji Family Daimyo: Either a Spider worshiping Derek, or a silly, pink pony loving Dare

Boy will this be a fun family council.
