Not wanting to ask questions in the Sadane thread (and thereby not actually debate the points mentioned), I'm curious-how does AEG handle someone like Mssr. Winner picking up two or more seeds? Are they passed down to the next person who isn't already seeded, or are they left open as additional space for those slogging through the grinders? It seems some collusion/splitting could be avoided by implementing a policy of passing down the seed to the next unseeded person in the rankings (with an additional option to pass it down again if anyone in the order knows full well they cannot attend).

Just curious, as finals are like Paris in the springtime for me: I've never seen either of them.

Winner needs two seeds: one for him one for his ego

If a seeded persons a kotei, the seed moves down to the second place guy. If second is also seeded it moves down to third and so on.

Many thanks for the reply. I thought I'd seen griping about cutting deals based on one party already having a seed, but perhaps I was mistaken. Or possibly the complaint was one party not actually having a seed but passing it on due to other constraints preventing them from attending the con.

A person who won a seat to a Championship previously might then concede to his opponent in exchange for the 1st place physical and story prizes.

What you may have been hearing is that one person couldn't physically go to gencon so he conceded to the other person who had plans on going.
